Milwaukee, WI (February 19, 2018)– Bryant & Stratton College is proud to introduce a new Bobcats Athletics logo. The new logo will be adopted by all Bryant & Stratton athletics programs in Wisconsin, New York, Ohio, and Virginia beginning in the spring 2018.
The new logo replaces the previous Bobcats marks which have served the athletics department for over 10 years after being chosen from a group of student designs. The new logos, designed by Birdsall, Voss & Associates, Inc. (BVK) from Milwaukee, WI, provide a modern update with a bold, aggressive primary mark and colors which are complimented by dynamic alternate logos, creating an all-encompassing rebrand of the Bobcats athletics program.
Adhering to Bryant & Stratton's rich tradition with over 165 years of history was vital throughout the design process. The Bobcats will be keeping the school's signature blue as the primary color. The new design will also feature a deep, rich navy and white utilized as the primary accents. The added inclusion of hyper green in the logos is meant to add to the contemporary look of the logo design.
Creating a dynamic, aggressive logo that captured the energy and confidence of the Bobcats athletics program was a focal point of the design process. The end result is a Bobcat with its ears pinned back, teeth bared and ready to attack. Combined with a pair of alternate logos which feature a rich, detailed paw with claw marks behind it, the logo set represents the Bobcats athletics attitude.
"The rebranding of our athletics logo ties into the approach the college has taken over the past couple years of unifying all of our campuses as one," Wisconsin's Bryant & Stratton College Athletics' Director Greg Brandner said. "With the expansion of athletics at multiple Bryant & Stratton campuses across the country, the new Bobcats logo unifies us even more."
For over 20 years, Bryant & Stratton College athletics have provided an opportunity for student-athletes to compete at the intercollegiate level while earning their degree. Bryant & Stratton athletics programs compete in eight sports at seven different campuses: Milwaukee, WI, Eastlake, OH, Buffalo, NY, Rochester, NY, Syracuse, NY, Albany, NY and Virginia Beach, VA. Bobcats athletics teams in Wisconsin, Virginia and Ohio compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) with teams in New York competing in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
