WAUWATOSA, WI (April 13, 2018) - After roughly two weeks off due to weather, the Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats made their way up to Madison College for a double header where fell short 12-2 in game one and 14-4 in game two.
04/12 - Game 1 vs Madison College (L 12-2)
The Wolfpack struck first in game one of the double header as they put four runs on the board early in the bottom of the first. Trailing 4-0 in the top of the second Bobcats catcher, Matthew Fana, put the Bobcats on the board after a base hit to right field and cut the lead to 4-1.
Defensively the Bobcats shut down the Wolfpack in the bottom of the second and tacked on another run in the top of the third to put them down just two runs.
Feeling the pressure, the Wolfpack struck back in the bottom of the inning scoring four runs and the Bobcats were never able to recover.
Dominick Meyer led the way for the Bobcats going two for two at the plate with one run and one RBI.
Malik Hill followed going one for three at the plate with one run.
Starting pitcher, Brandon Maglio, threw four innings giving up 11 hits, six earned runs and two strikeouts.
04/12 - Game 2 vs Madison College (L 14-4)
Game two was a similiar story for the Bobcats as they went scoreless through three innings while giving up 11 runs.
The bats finally came alive for the Bobcats in the top of the fourth as Alex Sadowski walked and stole second to lead off the inning. Ricky Rank came up next and doubled to left field to bring in the Bobcats first run of the game.
Feeling the momentum, the Bobcats tacked on three more runs in the inning but were never able to complete the comeback.
David Paleo (2B) led the way for the Bobcats with two hits and two RBI's
Up next for the Bobcats is a double header at Highland Community College on Wednesday, April 18. The Bobcats will look put together a win streak and gain some momentum for the back end of the season.
First pitch takes place at 2:00pm.
