MILWAUKEE, Wis. (May 16, 2017) - The Bryant & Stratton College men's basketball coaching staff is excited to announce the signing of Edmond "Coriy" Reed, a talented point guard out of Laveen, Arizona.
Reed attended Prologue Early College High School located in Chicago, IL where averaged 19 points, six assists and five rebounds per game his senior season.
Although Reed's statistics are impressive, they are just one indicator of what he is capable of doing on the court.
"Coriy is an all-around pass-first-score-second kind of point guard," Bobcats Head coach Brian Richert said.
The 6'2" point guard has the size, quickness and leaping ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor.
"I love his athletic ability and his ability to score, but his ability to get his teammates the ball is what I like most from him."
After scouting Reed over the years and watching him develop, Richert has no concerns that he will adapt and effectively transition into the Bobcats' system.
"He will direct the team and be vocal, which we demand our point guards to do here," Richert said.
This offseason Reed will continue to improve his game and look to make an immediate impact on Bryant & Stratton College basketball come fall semester.
Coach Richert will continue on with his recruiting efforts the remainder of the summer in order to bolster his roster for next season.
