Bobcats Look Ahead to Illinois Valley Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (September 21, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College men's golf will travel to Illinois on Friday to compete in the Illinois Valley Classic Invitational. The tournament will take place over the course of two days with the first round being held at Senica's Deer Park Golf Club and Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club on Saturday.
After having a couple weeks to make adjustments and focus on improving in certain areas the Bobcats are confident they will perform well.
"We have had a great couple weeks of practice and we're going to be ready to compete," Bobcats head coach Andy Runkel said.
After shooting a 79 in the previous tournament, Garrett Waloway will be looking to perform even better and help lead his team to their first victory of the season.
"Garrett is getting better and better every day and I am excited for him to get out and compete tomorrow," Runkel said.
Tyler Murrie, Maxwell Rohlinger and Aaron Gosse will look to carry over their performances from the last tournament as well.
"Tyler, Max, and Aaron played outstanding at the last tournament," Runkel said. "We really have no excuse to not perform well tomorrow."
The invitaional consists of over 100 golfers from 21 colleges in Illinois and Wisconsin.
The Bobcats will tee-off at 12pm on Friday and results will be submitted immediately after all teams have completed their final round on Saturday.
