MILWAUKEE Wis. (June 15, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College softball is ecstatic to announce the signing of Tori Golden from Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
Golden competed on the Oak Creek High School varsity team all four years and helped lead her team to a remarkable season this past year. Suffering only two losses the entire season, Golden and her team fell short in the closing moments of the Division 1 state semi-final game.
An incredible season for Oak Creek, Bobcats Head softball coach Troy Engibous enjoyed recruiting and watching Golden compete on the diamond throughout the year.
"I could not be more excited to have Tori signed for the next two years here at Bryant & Stratton College," Engibous said. "She will be a huge part of this softball program and will help put Bryant & Stratton softball on the map."
Golden competes at third base and has the ability to hit the ball out of the park at any given moment. Throughout the offseason she competed on a competitive club team known as the Wisconsin Lightening.
The First Team All-Conference player is thrilled to take her talents to the collegiate level as well as pursue the education she has been searching for.
"I am beyond excited to continue my softball career while starting my education as an Occupational Therapy Assistant," Golden said.
Adding to the list of accomplishments, Golden earned a roster spot to compete in the senior all-star game as well as broke the Oak Creek High School record in home runs, at bats, doubles, and hits.
"Tori had an amazing high school career and I cannot wait to see her succeed at the college level," Engibous said.
Spectators can see Golden wearing jersey #48 on the diamond next year while she helps set the tone for the inaugural season.
Golden marks as a very special commitment for Engibous as he will look to finalize his roster over the coming months and focus on the season ahead of him.
