MILWAUKEE, Wis. (November 8, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College is ecstatic to announce the signing of Ashley Weimann from Sheboygan, WI. Weimann signed her national letter of intent to compete on the Bobcats softball team for the 2018-19 season.
The 2017 Team MVP competed on the varsity softball team at Sheboygan South High School all four years. She earned First Team All-Conference her sophomore season and Second Team All-Conference junior year.
"Ashley is going to be a huge addition to the Bryant & Stratton softball program," Bobcats head coach Troy Engibous said. "Not only are we getting a great player but an even better person."
Throughout the offseason, Weimann competes for the Midwest Glory, which is an extremely competitive fast pitch softball program.
"Ashely's hard work in the classroom carries over on to the field and that's the type of player I want to represent the program," Engibous said.
Along with being an MVP on the team, Weimann holds several records at Sheboygan South High School. She ranks no. 1 in RBI's, no. 2 in homeruns, and no.3 in overall batting average.
"I am excited to continue my career in softball at the collegiate level and gain a whole new team and family," Weimann said.
Weimann will be enrolling the criminal justice program at Bryant & Stratton.
A tremendous addition in Weimann will help put the Bobcats in a great position come 2018-19 season. Now that national signing day has passed, Engibous will continue to recruit top talent as he prepares the 2017-18 inaugural season.
