MILWAUKEE, Wis. (November 10, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College is proud to announce the committment of Mercedes Griesbach from Hartford, WI. Griesbach officially signed her national letter of intent to put on a Bobcat uniform for the 2018-19 softball season.
Griesbach competed for the Hartford Union High School varsity team and is known for her extraordinary abilities as a pitcher and at first base.
"Since the beginning of my recruitment for the 2018 class, I knew pitching was a top priority of mine," Bobcats head coach Troy Engibous said. "Getting Mercedes this early on in the process is a huge addition to our pitching staff come next fall."
The All-Conference Honorable Mention has been competing on the Queen of Diamonds, a competitive club team, throughout the offseason as well.
"Mercedes is going to be a key member on the mound and I expect big things from her," Engibous said.
Griesbach is determined to have a remarkable senior season and then focus on her collegiate career after high school graduation.
"I am really excited to play softball at the college level at Bryant & Stratton," Griesbach said. "I am also excited to pursue my education as well."
Griesbach marks as another great pick-up for Engibous as he continues to recruit for the 2018-19 season.
The Bobcats inaugural season begins February 24, 2018 in Austin, Minnesota.
