WAUWATOSA, WI - (April 1, 2019) - Coming off of their first region win of the season, the Bryant & Stratton College softball team hosted Gogebic Community College on Friday and Bay College on Saturday earning four straight wins to improve to 9-15 overall on the season.

The Bobcats defeated Gogebic 16-6 in game one and 16-4 in game two on Friday and earned a 17-9 win in game one and 12-11 win in game two on Saturday.

Game one vs Gogebic Community College (16-6 Win)

After a scoreless top of the first, Bryant & Stratton scored eight runs in the bottom of the inning to take an early 8-0 lead.

In the top of the second, Gogebic tacked on one but the Bobcats kept momentum going offensively scoring five more runs in the bottom of the second.

Leading 13-1, Bryant & Stratton saw the win come early as they ran away with the victory.

Ashley Weimann (Fr.) led the way for the Bobcats with three hits and four RBI's.

Starting pitcher Kelly Schiller (Fr.) threw 5.0 innings giving up six earned runs.

Game two vs Gogebic Community College (16-4 Win)

Bryant & Stratton jumped out early leading 14-0 through the first three innings and never looked back.

Samantha Flannery (Fr.) led the way for the Bobcats with four hits and five RBI's.

Starting pitcher Amanda Zane (So.) threw 5.1 innings striking out five while allowing four earned runs. 

Game one vs Bay College (17-9 Win)

In game one of the Saturday double header, Bryant & Stratton found themselves down early trailing 4-2 before Flannery hit a line drive to right field in the bottom of the third giving the Bobcats a 5-4 edge.

Bay College scored one run in the top of the fourth to tie the game before Bryant & Stratton rallied to score 11 runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the win.

Flannery produced three hits and four RBI's followed by Meghan Strasser (So.) with three hits.

Mercedes Griesbach (Fr.) threw 5.0 innings allowing two earned runs.

Game two vs Bay College (12-11 Win)

Despite a lopsided win in game one, Bryant & Stratton was tied with Bay College 11-11 heading into the bottom of the seventh.

With no runners on and a 3-0 count, Weimann stepped up to the plate to hit a walk-off homerun to win the game.

Flannery led the way for the Bobcats with two hits and three RBI's.

Starting pitcher Kelly Schiller threw 5.2 innings allowing one earned run.

Bryant & Stratton will travel to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday for a double header.

First pitch will be thrown at 3:00pm.
