Bobcats head coach, Jeff Lorenz, and his staff moved to 10-3 overall and 5-0 in the region.
After coming off and scrappy victory on Saturday vs Gogebic Community College, the Bobcats were determined to make a statement against a tough NCAA Division III program in Concordia University.
The first quarter began with the Bobcats jumping out to an early six-point lead with a couple drives to the basket by returning Second Team All-American, Kiara Donaldson.
"We struggled to get stops defensively but we knocked down our shots which helped us take an early lead," Lorenz said. "Our ball movement was very efficient."
After leading 21-14 at the start of the second, the Falcons fought their way back and trailed only by five at the break.
Freshman Forward, Maddy McCoy, helped keep the Bobcats ahead by dropping 11 points in the first half.
The second half remained a tight battle as the Falcons chopped down their deficit to just two points to start the fourth quarter.
"They are very disciplined and they made fewer mistakes than we did which is why they were able to catch us," Lorenz said.
With just over five minutes remaining in the game, the Bobcats trailed the Falcons by one and had to pick up their defensive pressure in order to take back the lead.
Forcing a few late turnovers, the Bobcats were able to capitalize on transition baskets down the stretch and capture there tenth win of the season.
Kiara Donaldson (Milwaukee, WI) led the way with 17 points and nine rebounds followed by Maddy McCoy (Champaign, IL) with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Ashley Williams (Aurora, IL) tacked on 10 points and eight rebounds while Gabrielle Norwood (Milwaukee, WI) added 10 points off the bench.
