MILWAUKEE, WI. (January 18, 2018) – The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats host the Waubonsee Community College Chiefs on Saturday which could mark as a very special game for returning Second Team All-American, Kiara Donaldson, as she could potentially reach her 1,000th career point as a Bobcat.
Donaldson currently sits at 975 total points in her two seasons in a BSC uniform and will need to drop 25 points on Saturday to clip the 1,000 mark.
On the year, Donaldson averages 17.6 points per game but over the past four games has been averaging 25.7 points. Which means if she maintains the streak she has been on than she will become the first ever Bobcat in the 1,000-point club.
"This could be a very special moment for Kiara," Bobcats head coach Jeff Lorenz said. "To reach 1,000 points before the end of your second season is definitely remarkable."
Although reaching 1,000 points will be on Donaldson's mind, Coach Lorenz is confident that she will remain focused on the more important task at hand.
"She understands that the 1,000 points will come eventually," Lorenz said. "If it does not happen this game than maybe next game or the game after that. Either way, it is going to come."
Getting a victory is definitely what the Lady Bobcats will be hunting for as they suffered a tough one-point loss on Tuesday which they will want to bounce back from.
This will mark as a crucial Region IV contest as the Lady Bobcats will look to get back on track and move to 11-0 in region play.
Tip-off will take place at 1:00pm and spectators can view the game live HERE
