MILWAUKEE, WI (February 13, 2018) – Bryant & Stratton College is pleased to announce the hiring of Rick Leslie as the head women's golf coach of its Wisconsin program for the inaugural season starting in fall 2018. Leslie will lead the launch and development of the Bobcats on and off the course.
Leslie comes to Bryant & Stratton as a Certified PGA Professional and a member of the Wisconsin Section of the PGA of America since 2000. He is currently the General Manager and Head Golf Professional at a trio of golf courses in Racine which includes, Johnson Park Golf Course, Washington Park, and Shoop Park at Wind Point.
Prior to his current position as general manager, Leslie was the Director of Golf Operations at Valley Lo Club in Chicago for six years. At Valley Lo, he worked extensively with junior golfers establishing one of the most successful private club PGA Junior League Golf programs in the country.
"We are very excited to have Rick join our Bobcats family," Bryant & Stratton College's Athletic Director Greg Brandner said. "Rick's coaching experience made it an easy decision for us and we are excited for him to build the first ever women's golf program here."
Previously, Leslie served as the Head Women's Golf Coach at Carthage College in Kenosha for the 2010-2012 seasons. In his first season as Carthage's coach, he led the team to a Division III national ranking.
"I am really looking forward to working with the staff at Bryant & Stratton College," Leslie said. "I'm even more excited to create a women's golf program that is viewed as one of the best in Region IV and the NJCAA."
A certified Titleist TPI Golf Fitness Instructor since 2011, Leslie focuses much of his teaching and philosophy on overall physical fitness, mobility, stability and flexibility.
Leslie still competes in numerous PGA Section events and USGA qualifiers. With his experience coaching and playing college athletics, he will certainly be a valuable resource for his team and all student athletes at Bryant & Stratton College.

Leslie earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Leslie has begun recruiting student athlete for the fall 2018 semester as he looks to put the program on the map immediately.
