WAUWATOSA, WI (October 4, 2018) - After eight consecutive road games, the Bryant & Stratton College women's volleyball team took care of business Wednesday night at home where they defeated Highland Community College-Illinois in a resounding 3-0 victory 25-23, 25-17, 25-14. The Bobcats improved to 12-8 overall and 11-4 in region competition.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was freshman, Andrea Miranda, with 12 kills and and nine digs followed by Ashley Weimann with seven kills out eight attempts producing a .750K%.
Playing on a minor injury, freshman outside hitter, Gabriela Lopez, contributed six kills, eight digs and two assists. Eagle, Wisconsin, native, Kyenna Stanley-Reckin has been on a tear lately generating 11 kills in the past two contests (six vs Highland).
Evelis Vicenty, who is ranked fourth in the region in assists per set (9.39) finished the match with 29 assists, three digs, and one assist.
Bryant & Stratton College remains in second place in Region IV District B. With five games remaining in the regular season, the Bobcats will look to get on a roll and close out the season on a high note for a playoff push.
