Bobcats Fall to Oakton in First Home Loss of Season

WAUWATOSA, WI (October 23, 2018) - Monday evening marked as the first home loss of the season for the Bryant & Stratton College women's volleyball team as they fell short to Oakton Community College in three sets 25-19, 25-17, 25-23. The Bobcats currenly stand at 14-10 overall and 13-6 in region play.
After suffering a 3-1 loss to Oakton in early October, the Bobcats failed to get revenge this time around and fall to the number three ranked team in Region IV District B.
The Bobcats total kill percentage hit its lowest point thus far as they recorded a -.046K% as well as registering nine service errors. Despite the unusual display of efficiency, the Bobcats were still able to remain competitive each match.
"Anything can happen at any moment," Bobcats head coach Heather Curley said. "Perserverance and the ability to adapt to change has made this team smarter."
Setter, Evelis Vicenty, racked up all of the Bobcats assists (22) and remains ranked in the top five in assists per set for all of Region IV.
Freshman, Andrea Miranda and Gabriela Lopez, led the way in kills for the Bobcats as Miranda produced 11 and Lopez contribued seven.

The Bobcats will host Morton College on Wednesday evening for their final home match of the season. The Bobcats will look to defend their home court as they wind down the regular season.
"We have done a good job at rebounding after tough losses before and I expect that to continue."
