WAUWATOSA, WI (June 24, 2019) - This off-season has been nothing short of exciting for the Bryant & Stratton College volleyball program as head coach Heather Curley continues to bring on top talent for the 2019 season.
Angelie Rivera out of Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, signed her national letter of intent to put on a blue and white uniform this fall and Curley is thrilled to have her on board as she will be a key piece to the program.
"Angelie is a strong versitile player that adds more size and power to our hitters," Curlety said. "She also passes, reads the ball well and has a great serve. We will look for her to contribute right away."
The three-year varsity player belonged to the honor roll at Christian Millitary Academy while graduating with academic excellence and receiving recognition from the P.R. government chamber and senate.
"Angelie is strong both athletically and academically."
Along with competing on the varsity high school team, the 5'9" outside hitter competed competitively for the Evolution club team in the off-season.
The Bobcats finsihed with a 15-11 overall record in the 2018 inaugural season while earning the program's first-ever playoff appearance.
Curley and her staff will look to build upon their early successes and set their goals high this upcoming season.
