WAUWATOSA, WI (April 22, 2019) - Bryant & Stratton College's Head Cross Country Coach Casey Green officially signed Jackline Maiyo out of Eldoret, Kenya for the 2019 season.
Maiyo marks as the third recruit from Kenya to sign with the Bobcats next season.
Maiyo attended St. Catherine's Girl's Secondry High School where she competed on both the Cross Country and Track team.
"Jackline is a young athlete with a lot of great talent and potential," Green said. "Already training at a high level with an elite group in Kenya, Jackline has built plenty of experience in a short amount of time."
Maiyo's most recent times:
- 5K in 18:00
- 3K in 10:58
- 1500M in 5:08.
"A great work ethic and limitless speed and endurance makes Jackline an incredible addition to the Bobcats program for 2019," Green said.
Maiyo is extremely excited to bring her talents over to Bryant & Stratton as the fall semester approaches.
"I chose Bryant & Stratton because it is one of the schools in the United States that offer the academic courses I am interested in," Maiyo said. "I believe it is where I can develop both athletically and academically and the straightforwardness of coach Green made choosing Bryant & Stratton easy."
Spectators can watch Maiyo compete in a Bobcat uniform next fall as the inaugural program will begin their season in August.
