The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats Cross Country/Track & Field teams are thrilled to announce the recent signing of Armani Jones (Milwaukee, WI). Jones, a graduate of Harold Vincent HS, just a few miles from Bryant & Stratton, will compete for the Bobcats in both cross country and track & field during the 2020/2021 seasons. Primarily a mid-distance runner focusing on the 800 meter run, Jones brings experience and passion to the young program.

Said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Casey Green, "Armani is an athlete that has proven time and time again to our coaching staff that he is willing to work as hard as possible in order to develop as an athlete and aid the team. That type of commitment and readiness is exactly what we look for in recruits. He's got a range of speed and potential in different distances that will prove extremely beneficial to our overall team performance. We're lucky to have him as a Bobcat!"

Jones will join a young and extremely talented incoming group of mid-distance and distance runners from around the country in Fall 2020. Continuing to build upon the success of their inaugural season in 2019, the Bobcats team plans to compete for a Regional title and National Championship qualification once again in 2020. The addition of Jones along with many others makes those goals possible.

Said Jones, "I chose Bryant & Stratton because it gives me another opportunity to run again and to finish my education and pursue my career in law enforcement. I'd like to thank my high school and AAU coaches, James Wright, Jerry Gilly, Lacefield, and everyone who's supported me in this."

Citing his favorite piece of scripture to describe the pursuit of his dream to compete in college, Jones stated, "Walk by faith and not by sight."

The Bobcats Cross Country team will begin their season in August 2020 with the Track & Field team to follow in October 2020!
