Bio

Mike Zolecki was officially hired as the Head Baseball Coach of its Wisconsin program for the 2018 inaugural season.

A Wisconsin native, Zolecki brings a tremendous amount of knowledge from his own success as a Baseball player. After earning three straight letters as a collegiate Baseball player for St. Mary’s University, located in Texas, Zolecki was then drafted in the fifth round of the 1993 MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies. After his initial season, the following year in 1994 he was rated a top-10 prospect in the organization and posted 2.78 ERA. Zolecki played a total of six seasons in the MLB, succeeding as high as AA for both the Colorado Rockies and Chicago Whitesox organizations.

Additionally, for the past twelve years Zolecki had held the head coach position at Cardinal Stritch University, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his twelve years at Cardinal Stritch University, he developed twelve NAIA Region VII Scholar Athletes and fourteen All-CCAC athletes.

Zolecki also holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from St. Mary’s University and was elected into the institutions Hall of Fame in 2008.

He currently resides in Milwaukee, WI.
