Throughout the first 12 minutes of the first half, the Bobcats broke out to a 25-13 lead after freshman guard, Mikell Cooper, knocked down a corner three with eight minutes remaining.
"This was our best effort of the year on both ends of the ball," Bobcats head coach, Matt Majkrzak, said. "We defended with passion and paid attention to the little details."
With just under a minute to go before the break, the Bobcats remained ahead 39-26 after forward, Chris Thompson, snatched a defensive rebound and took the ball coast-to-coast for a breakaway layup.
At the break, Bryant & Stratton held the lead at 39-26 with momentum all on their side.

After making adjustments, the Bobcats regained their momentum as they broke out to a 12-4 run extending their lead 18 (71-53).
"We kept improving as the game went on," Majkrzak said. "If we continue to grow and improve we have potential to do some special things down the stretch."
With 20 seconds remaining, the Bobcats held a 81-70 lead before floor general, Justin Brookens, closed the game out knocking down two of two from line giving the Bobcats the 83-70 win.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was Brookens dropping a team-high 22 points on 6-13 shooting followed by sophomore guard, Joe Duty, with 14 points and five rebounds.
