WAUWATOSA, WI (November 20, 2018) -  Bryant & Stratton College – Wisconsin Athletics has named Lukas Wilhelmi as its official Head Men's Soccer Coach for its NJCAA Division I program. 

Wilhelmi moved from the top assistant coach to the interim head coach in July for the inaugural 2018 season where he led the team to a 3-11-1 overall record. 

"I'm excited to see our players and program grow," Wilhelmi said. "Last season we laid the groundwork to become Wisconsin's team in the NJCAA. There is a lot of talent in Wisconsin and we will provide them with a great opportunity to showcase their skills and grow on and off the field."

This past season, Wilhelmi coached All-Region Goalkeeper, Trevor Russell, who compiled 110 saves in 13 games. 

Prior to Bryant & Stratton, Wilhelmi served as the Head Coach for Madison FC for two years where he coached U18, U17, U16 and U15 and from 2013-16 he acted as the Head Coach/Teaching Assistant for Goethe-Institute. 

"It became clear this past season that Lukas was the right person to build our men's soccer program," Bryant & Stratton College's Associate Athletic Director, Ryan Ratajewski said. "With roster depth always a problem in the inaugural year, we believe the years ahead will be very successful for the Bobcats under Wilhelmi."

Wilhelmi has begun recruiting for the fall 2019 season and interested student athlete should fill out the Recruitment Form

"Our goal for next season is to make the playoffs and play a meaningful role in them," Wilhelmi said. "We will add a great recruiting class and field a talented unit."

Bryant & Stratton College launched NJCAA athletics in 2016 with men's and women's basketball and men's golf. The Bobcats added baseball and softball in spring 2017, followed by volleyball and men's and women's soccer in fall 2017. Plans to offer women's golf, men's and women's cross country, women's tennis and men's and women's eSports are planned for 2019.
