MILWAUKEE, Wis. (November 13, 2017) – The Bryant & Stratton College women's basketball team traveled to Lacrosse, WI on Saturday to square off against the Western Technical College Cavaliers. The Bobcats defeated the Cavaliers 119-64.
A resounding victory had Bobcats head coach Jeff Lorenz ecstatic after the game.
"We played outstanding," Lorenz said. "Everyone contributed and we were active defensively and pushed the ball in transition."
The Bobcats jumped on the Cavaliers early leading 30-11 at the end of the first quarter. At the start of the second quarter, the Bobcats continued with their full-court defensive pressure which resulted in easy transition baskets.
"I thought our ball pressure caused a lot of havoc," Lorenz said. "We were able to create turnovers which allowed us to get out in transition."
Leading the Cavaliers 58-31 at the half, the Bobcats continued to extend their lead throughout the second half and captured their second win in a row.
Jazlyn Drake (Milwaukee, WI) led the Bobcats with 26 points and eight steals. Ashley Williams (Aurora, IL) contributed 16 points and six rebounds.
