MILWAUKEE, WI (February 20, 2018) – Bryant & Stratton College is proud to announce that women's basketball player, Ashley Quezaire, has earned the NJCAA Region IV Division II Player of the Week award.
Quezaire is one of the six returning sophomores on the team and has played a significant role in the Bobcats success this season.
A redshirt last season, Quezaire earned Player of the Week after dropping 20 points against Illinois Valley Community College this past weekend (2/17). She shot 7-10 from the field and 6-8 from beyond the arc.
"Ashley has taken on a huge role for us this season," Bobcats head coach Jeff Lorenz said. "Unfortunately she was not able to compete last season but she fit right into our system this year and has really brought us to the next level."
Quezaire also added five rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and 1 steal against Illinois Valley.
"Ashley came off the bench to start the season but because of her hard work in both practices and games she has earned she earned a starting position," Lorenz said.
Averaging 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on the season, Quezaire will look to carry over her performance from Saturday to the final game of the season which takes place on Saturday, February 24.
The contest will take place at home against Kankakee Community College (18-6) at 1:00pm.
The game will be streamed live on the official YouTube Channel
