BSC Well-Represented on All-Region Hoops Teams
The Bryant & Stratton College basketball programs featured four NJCAA All-Region IV players for the 2019-20 seasons.
The Lady Bobcats featured three players for Region All-Region Team Division II honors. Freshmen Kiarra Otto and La'Janique Perry-Ellis along with sophomore Marleah Drake earned All-Region, the first time the Bobcats have had three players represented.
La'Janique Perry-Ellis – Perry-Ellis (Milwaukee, Washington High) led the team in several categories: points (17.8 ppg), assists (3.4 apg), and free-throw percentage (81.1%). Perry-Ellis lead BSC in a pivotal game on February 22 defeating Kankakee 70-62. In the final regular season game, Perry-Ellis had 31 points, 9 boards and 4 assists. Perry-Ellis also earned an All-American nomination.
Marleah Drake – Drake (Milwaukee, Riverside) posted 2.9 assists per game, while also scoring 14.7 points per game. Drake lead the team in three point percentage, at an impressive clip of 33.1%.Drake has scored in double figures in 20 games this year and had a season-high 33 points against Bay College on February 8, 2020.
Kiarra Otto - Otto (Brandon, Laconia) netted 11.2 points per game while also tacking on 7.2 rebounds per game. Otto's most impressive game came February 21 in a 62-45 win over Gogebic as she posted 9 points, 18 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a Bobcats-record 8 blocks. Otto also finished third on the team in field goal percentage at 45.1%.
