Bobcats battled McHenry Community College
The Bobcats battled McHenry Community College on Saturday morning in a great matchup with the defending Region IV champions. After Desiree, Val, and Nikold all cruised through their singles matches and remained undefeated on the season we moved on to the doubles. Desiree and Val easily won to stay undefeated in their careers and the match came down to the #2 doubles team of Nikold and Kyana. In an match that lasted just over 2 hours we fell short by a couple of points in a great 7-5, 6-7, 10-4 contest that ended in a tiebreaker. These two teams should be competing for the team title in a couple of weeks.
Later in the day we traveled to Lake County Community College where we edged them out 5-4 with Kyana and Nikold taking the final match this time 6-4, 6-2 to seal our 4th win of the season. As usual, Desiree, Val, and Nikold all easily made it past their opponents in singles. We got great efforts from our newest player Caitlyn Kirsch who made the start at #5 singles and Kennedy Campbell who finally got to compete in singles and doubles.
Next up Wisconsin Lutheran at home Monday.
