Bobcats Add Oak Creek’s Brooke St. Germaine to 2021 Roster
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats Women's Cross Country and Track & Field teams took a strong step towards their continued success this week with the signing of Brooke St. Germaine (Oak Creek, WI). St. Germaine finished the shortened 2020 cross country season by setting a new personal best in the 5k (20:24) at the WIAA D1 Sectional Championship in October. Coming off a breakout season, St. Germaine will join the Bobcats with a series of personal bests at different distances having been set over the past 4 months. The expectation is that the great progress made during her senior season will continue into her collegiate career.
Said Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach Casey Green, "Brooke is an exceptional young athlete. She's someone that's talented and athletic but never discounts her own hard work and determination to get the results in competitions that she expects. An extremely high-character team member, we expect Brooke to serve as part of the backbone of the Bobcats distance program for the next few years. We're excited to dive right into training her and continue to see her growth and progress as a collegiate runner."
Despite challenges and obstacles during the 2020 competitive season, the Bobcats cross country program picked right up where they left off as 2019 Regional Champions with a 10th place team finish at the 2020 NJCAA National Championship race. In just two years as a program, the Bobcats have won a Regional Championship, qualified Men's teams for both National Championship races along with an individual from the Women's team, and placed in the top-10 in the nation. The goal is for that success to grow and continue with the addition of Brooke St. Germaine to the roster along with the rest of the 2021 recruiting class.
Commenting on her commitment to the Bobcats, Brooke St. Germaine said, "I am so excited to start training with the Bryant and Stratton Bobcats for both cross country and track! I chose BSC because, not only do they have a PTA program to help me pursue my dream job, but they also have athletics which is not offered in many two year degrees. I get the best of both worlds and couldn't be more excited for my future!"
The Bryant & Stratton College Men's and Women's Track & Field team will begin their competitive season on January 13th, 2021! Cross Country will begin their 2021 season in August.
