Bobcats win fourth straight, Weed records eight RBIs
MILWAUKEE — Austin Sigrist took the mound in the second game and gave up just one hit in two innings. Following these outings, the floodgates opened for Bryant & Stratton College.
After Brayden Pleau reached on an error, Ryan Weed hit his second home run of the day, bringing in Pleau and Sean Riley, who singled before Weed’s at bat.
Weed would come around for his second at-bat of the inning, and with the bases loaded, he homered for a third time. The grand slam ballooned the Bobcats lead 11-0.
The Pioneers scored one run in the following inning, but that was all they would muster for the game. Weed drove in the Bobcats’ 12th run with a sacrifice fly and Sigrist finished the game.
Sigrist struck out three batters in five innings of work and allowed just one run. Weed had eight RBIs with two hits and also scored two runs.
The Bobcats would stay at home and have a matchup with the College of Lake County Lancers on Saturday.
