Bryant & Stratton College baseball beat Owls
OCONOMOWOC, Wis. — The Bryant & Stratton College baseball team was scheduled to play a doubleheader against Oakton, but due to time issues, both squads agreed to play one nine-inning game. Here are the highlights.
The Oakton Owls opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Oakton tallied three runs, but the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats answered with a big inning, scoring six runs on two hits.
The Bobcats put up five more runs in the bottom of the second inning. Ryan Weed doubled, scoring one run, Quinn Baier singled, scoring one run, Brayden Pleau singled, scoring one run, and Sean Reilly doubled, scoring two runs. They scored five runs in the next inning. Ashton Kampa led off the inning with a home run , Luis Serrano singled, scoring one run, Pleau singled, scoring one run, Reilly was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Jedvier Garcia grounded out, scoring one run.
Bryant & Stratton added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth, making the total 19, and those would be the runs the Bobcats put up. They held off the Owls for the rest of the way, and the game ended in the seventh inning with Bryant & Stratton winning by 11 runs.
Zach Rechner started on the bump for the Bobcats and he made it through one inning. Brayden Thompson replaced him and he made it through two innings. Andrew Mumm finished off things and recorded four strikeouts and allowed just two hits.

The Bobcats travel to the College of Lake County and will play the Lancers. They previously swept CLC at the end of March.
