MILWAUKEE, Wis. (February 10, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats went on the road and defeated Kankakee Community College 81-72 Thursday night and looked more like the team that began the season 5-2.
Lewrenzo Byers scored 27 points and Nate Walker added 13 to help the Bobcats (11-17) get back on track.
Bobcats point guard Jake Nixon and Forward Diamante Freeman added 11 points each and Nixon had a team high six rebounds to help secure the win.
The game was tied 39-39 at halftime and neck-and-neck throughout the second half. Byers lead the way distancing the lead by knocking down two crucial three's and getting to the foul line with time running down in the second half.
With two remaining games left in the season, the Bobcats will look to build off of this win and prepare for their next opponent. The Bobcats travel to Merriville, IN on Wednesday to tip-off at 7:00pm against Don Bosco Prep.
