MILWAUKEE, WIS. (December 20, 2017) – The Bryant & Stratton College men's basketball team went on the road last night and triumphed over McHenry County College 99-53 in a Region IV match-up.
This marked as the fourth straight win for the Bobcats as they improved to 8-6 overall and 5-3 in the region.
The first half was neck and neck as the Bobcats led the Scots 24-23 with just over six minutes remaining before the break.
Creating turnovers and pushing the ball in transition, the Bobcats went on a run and ended the half leading 43-27.
"We took our level-of-play up a notch and got more aggressive defensively which helped us extend the lead," Bobcats head coach Brian Richert said. "The guys were definitely locked in mentally tonight."
There was no slowing down for the Bobcats as the second half began and they extended the lead to thirty points with seven minutes remaining in the contest.
"It was great to see our energy carry over from the first half," Richert said.
The Bobcats continued to knock down shots throughout the remaining minutes and went on their way to capture their eighth win of the season.
Brian Bearden (Germantown, WI) led the Bobcats with 27 points and seven steals followed by Lincoln Wieseman (Lake Geneva, WI) with 19 points.
