Men's basketball wins regular season finale
PALATINE, Ill. — Bryant & Stratton headed south to take on the Harper College Hawks Tuesday night.
The Bobcats hit the road following a 20-point win against Wilbur Wright. The two-game road trip was the last of the regular season.
The Bobcats jumped out to a 23-17 lead with 10:00 remaining in the first half. They ended the half on a 24-7 run to lead 47-24 at halftime.
Bryant & Stratton continued to dominate the flow of the game and never relinquished the lead.
Karter Thomas scored a game-high 23 points, while Terrance McClendon followed up 14 points of his own. Anthony Vaval also led the Bobcats with five assists.
“I’m proud of our guys and the effort they gave on the defensive end of the floor,” Bobcats head coach Chuck Ruffing said. “We are a really tough basketball team when we are causing chaos defensively. It is a good win, and now we are focused on the playoffs.”
Ruffing’s squad suffered a tough loss to then-No. 11-ranked MATC at home over a week ago, but the Bobcats were able to bounce back and head into the playoffs with two consecutive wins.
The Bobcats’ next opponent will be revealed on Sunday.
