MYRTLE BEACH, SC (March 5, 2019) - The Bryant & Stratton College softball team posted a #-# record overall their spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, SC which included going #-# Tuesday, the final day of the trip. The Bobcats defeated Henry Ford Community College 9-2 in game one on Tuesday morning and losing 4-0 to Lackawanna College in game two.
Bryant & Stratton improved to 4-12 overall.
3/5 - Game 1 vs Henry Ford College (9-2 Win)
For the second time in two days, Bryant & Stratton College went up against Henry Ford College and after suffering a 5-1 loss on Monday, it was the Bobcats who came out on top 9-2 Tuesday.
Brianna Zook (sophomore) brought in the Bobcats first run of the game on a double to center field and proceeded to score the second run of the game a couple batters later on a wild pitch.
Sophomore Heather Anderson knocked in the third run of the inning on a sacrifice fly to center.
In the bottom of the third, the Bobcats tacked on two more runs and scored one in the fourth on a homerun from Ashley Weimann (freshman).
To start the top of the sixth, Henry Ford trailed 6-0 but tacked on two runs to close the gap to 6-2 heading into the bottom of the inning.
The Bobcats scored three more insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to capture the win.
Weimann led the way with one hit and a home run followed by Brooke Masi (sophomore) with two hits and two runs.
Zook finished with two hits, two runs and one RBI while Anderson finished the game with one hit.
Pitcher Alyssa Hild recorded two strikeouts while giving up two earned runs and four hits.
3/5 - Game 2 vs Lackawanna College (4-0 Loss)
After a scorless two innings, Lackawanna College got on the board first scoring one run in the bottom of the third.
In the fourth, both teams failed to capatalize offensively but Lackawanna's bats got hot as they scored three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth.
Failing to score a run, the Bobcats found thesmelves splitting the day 1-1.
Weimann led the way for the Bobcats with one hit followed by Anderson with one hit.
Hild finished the game throwing six innings with three strikeouts and three earned runs.

Bryant & Stratton (4-12) will have a couple weeks off before returning to action as they will get into region play at College of Lake County for a double header on Tuesday, March 19
First pitch of game one will be at 3:00pm.
