Bobcats sweep Moraine Valley
MILWAUKEE — In the second game against the Cyclones, Holly Lowenberg stepped into the circle. The Week 3 NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Week was looking to continue her commanding ways in the circle, and she did so with a 1-2-3 inning.
The Bobcats were held in check in the bottom of the first, and Lowenberg stepped up her strong performance by recording three strikeouts in the second inning.
The floodgates opened again for the Bobcats in the second inning, and the scoring was started by Lilly Rechlitz, who hit a home run. Nora Statz followed up with a two-run home run of her own. All together, Bryant & Stratton would record 15 runs.
The Bobcats went on to score six more runs and only surrendered one, a home run.
Lowenberg struck out nine batters in 4⅔ innings of work and allowed only two hits.
Rechlitz recorded four RBIs, and Lizzy Wesoloski went 4-for-4 and had four RBIs. Statz went 4-for-5, and Grace Leitheiser went 3-for-3.
