Bryant & Stratton College softball continues winning ways
MILWAUKEE — The softball program at Bryant & Stratton College continued its dominant play, this time winning the first game on a cold Saturday afternoon against Moraine Valley Community College.
Sophomore Macey Clark stepped into the circle, conceding only two hits before striking out the last batter of the inning.
Lizzy Wesoloski drove in the first run with a double after Carissa Heisdorf ended up on second base.
Clark returned to the circle and surrendered just one hit in the second. The Bobcats opened it up in the home half of the inning. Kaitlynn Christ started the scoring after driving in Joscelyn Bennett. Then, with two outs, Nora Statz and Wesoloski hit back-to-back doubles to build the lead to 5-0. Kayla Roidt followed Wesoloski with a single, and Wesoloski scored, making it 6-0.
The Bobcats ended the inning with a nine-run lead after Madie Jagoditsh tripled, Chrisit singled and Jagoditsh stole home. Dean Herman's squad added another run when Statz brought in Heisdorf, who tripled before her at-bat.
Grace Leitheiser added to the highlights with a two-run home run, giving the Bobcats a 12-0 lead. That would be all the scoring the Bobcats would do, and Clark went back out in the fifth and ended the game with a 1-2-3 inning.
It was a dominant game offensively, and Clark turned in another stellar performance.
