Bryant & Stratton College Softball sweeps MATC
WEST ALLIS, Wis. — After splitting with Kankakee on Tuesday, the Bryant & Stratton College softball team was back in action on April 10 with a doubleheader against MATC at Rainbow Park. The Bobcats took game one by 15 runs and followed that up with a dominant 16-run win in game two.
Game 1 | Bryant & Stratton 16, MATC 1
The Bobcats sent Macey Clark to the circle and she turned the Stormers away with a 1-2-3 inning. Bryant & Stratton tacked on the first runs of the game with a sacrifice fly from Nora Statz and a two-run home run from Joscelyn Bennett.
The Bobcats blew the game open after scoring four runs in the bottom of the second, and Kaitlynn Christ, Grace Leitheiser, Madelyn Birling and Lizzy Wesoloski added home runs in the third. Clark turned the Stormers away again and the Bobcats added four more runs.
Clark gave up her lone run in the top of the fifth, but that was all MATC could muster and Bryant & Stratton walked away with its 20th win of the season.

Game 2 | Bryant & Stratton 19, MATC 3
Bryant & Stratton’s bats came alive once again in game two and it was led by Bennett and Kayla Roidt. The Stormers trailed by two after the top of the fourth inning, but the Bobcats would once again have an offensive explosion.
Behind home runs from Leitheiser, Birling, Bennett and Madie Jagoditsh they scored 15 total runs in the fourth to balloon their lead to 17.
MATC brought one run across in the top of the fifth, but that would be all for MATC, and Bryant & Stratton recorded win No. 21.
Holly Lowenberg was in the circle for Byrant & Stratton and pitched a complete game. The freshman pitcher also struck out eight batters.
