MILWAUKEE, Wis. (February 20, 2017) – Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats traveled to East Peoria this past Saturday and fell short to a very talented Illinois Central College team 86-62.
The Bobcats (17-10) lead the Cougars (20-6) at the end of the quarter 20-17 but took their foot off the gas midway through the second quarter and trailed the Cougars 39-38 at the end of the half. The Cougars went on to control much of the second half and captured the win.
Bobcats guard Kyla Pitts led all scorers with 20 points while shooting 58% from the field. Ashley Williams dropped 13 points, Jazlyn Drake contributed 12, Kiara Donaldson added 10 and Gabby Norwood finished with nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, the lady Bobcats have won 11 of their last 14 games and will finish out their season with an 11:00 a.m. tip-off this Saturday at Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, MI. The Bobcats defeated Gogebic at home earlier this season 95-77 and will hope to have a similar result again this time around on the road.
