WAUWATOSA, WI (May 8, 2018) - For the Bryant & Stratton College women's basketball team; the off-season has been full of the sophomore graduates signing with four-year institutions to continue their education and basketball careers.
Sophomore guard, Jazlyn Drake, marks as the latest player to commit to a four-year program as she will continue her education and playing career at Williams Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. William Woods is Division I NAIA program competing in the American Midwest Conference.
"I am very proud Jaz and her recent commitment to Williams Woods University," Bobcats head coach Jeff Lorenz said. "She was a phenomenal player to coach and William Woods definitely picked up a great player."
Drake averaged 10.5 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game in her career wearing a Bobcat uniform.
This past season, Drake earned a spot on the Region IV Division II District L All-Tournament team after helping the Bobcats win the Region IV Championship.
"Jaz played outstanding in the Region IV tournament," Lorenz said. "She improved throughout the entire year and played her best basketball when the playoffs arrived which is exactly what you want to do as a player."
The 5'9" combo player will certainly be missed next season but she will look to bring the same contribution to the Owls in her remaining two years of eligibility.
