Bio

Dean Herman joined Bryant & Stratton College in the fall of 2018 as head softball coach and Athletic Operations Coordinator. In his time at Bryant & Stratton, Herman has compiled an overall record of 233-124.

Prior to arriving at Bryant & Stratton, Herman served as head varsity softball coach at Johnson Creek High School. Over four seasons he posted a 78-25 record and led the Bluejays to the sectionals three out of four years.

Herman founded the Johnson Creek Yellowjackets travel softball club, which provides high-level competitive softball for girls with teams at the 8U through 18U levels. In 2017, the Yellowjackets finished seventh at NAFA Nationals out of 84 teams.

As a player, Herman competed on the Edgewood College baseball team during his undergraduate career. Following graduation, he returned to Edgewood as an assistant softball coach for two years. He earned a degree in Business/Marketing from Edgewood College.

Herman resides in Johnson Creek with his wife Melissa and their four children: Jazmin, Brandon, Bella, and Tanner.
