More talent coming from New Mexico to Bobcats Cross Country/Track & Field
The Bobcats Cross Country/Track & Field teams continues to build a great group of recruits from New Mexico with the recent commitment of William "Buddy" Neeley (Williamsburg, NM). Neeley, a talented multi-sport athlete, is coming off an incredibly strong Senior cross country season and is building towards impressive results in his final high school track & field season.
Said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Casey Green, "It's great to have Buddy joining our program. He's a young athlete with tons of developmental potential. He's incredibly athletic having competed in multiple events including javelin while in high school. With a strong character and a strong work ethic we believe he'll fit right in with our team and contribute right away."
Neeley competed in his very first cross country season this past Fall and capped it with a qualification and top-50 finish at the NMAA State Championship. With two top-12 finishes at last year's NMAA Track & Field State Championship in distance events and a top-12 finish in the javelin at his District Championship, Neeley brings a wide-range of skills to the Bobcats.
Commenting on his commitment Neeley said, "I am so excited to continue my education as well as my athletic career with Bryant and Stratton. I look forward to doing something I love as well as working with a next level coaching staff!"
Welcome to the team!
The Bobcats Cross Country season will begin in August 2020 with Track & Field beginning practice in October 2020 and competition in January 2021.
