Hydinger commitment bring experience and talent to Bobcats Track & Field
The Women's Track & Field program at Bryant & Stratton - WI continues to build strength and depth with the recent commitment of Ashlyn Hydinger (Stevens Point, WI). Hydinger joins the Bobcats after one year at UW-Stevens Point. As a sprinter focusing primarily on the 200m dash, Hydinger has displayed maturity, speed and strength at various levels throughout her WIAA career.
Commenting on the recent commitment, Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Casey Green said, "It's great to have a slightly older, more experienced athlete like Ashlyn come in to lead the team in its first season. She's talented, committed, and will immediately add depth to our emerging sprint/hurdle program. She's a great addition and we couldn't be more excited that she's decided to commit to become a Bobcat."
Combining with earlier commits Madison Holley and Valerie Nzeakor, Hydinger provides an additional piece to a strong sprint group that will serve to make the Bobcats competitive with immediacy in 2020/2021. Bringing in an additionally strong group of mid-distance/distance runners, the Women's Track & Field team will look to surge through their inaugural season.
Said Hydinger, "I chose to attend Bryant and Stratton College because academically I feel this school will provide me with a great nursing degree. As far as athletics, I'm really excited to be able to work with my teammates as well as my coaches to produce a well-rounded team and be able to achieve our goals as well as my own."
Welcome to the team!
The Bobcats Track & Field season officially begins with practice in October 2020. Competition is set to begin in January 2021.
