The Bobcats added more depth and talent to their Women's Cross Country/Track & Field team with the recent signing of Faith Cheserem (Iten, Kenya). Cheserem will be an instant impact athlete for the Bobcats and will compete for the Cross Country team as well as in the distance events for Track & Field. Coming from Iten, Kenya where she has been training with a group of high-caliber runners since graduating High School, Cheserem has great competition and training experience. The Bobcats coaching staff and Cheserem's coach in Kenya, Titus Limo, have established a great relationship over the past two years. 

Said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Casey Green, "We're extremely lucky to have Faith joining our program this upcoming Fall. She's talented, positive, experienced, and is ready help our team with continued success. She's been on our recruit list now for almost a full year and have never once shown anything but a willingness to work hard. Coach Limo, her current coach, and I have a strong relationship and he has an excellent reputation. He has nothing but great things to say about Faith which says a lot about her as a young athlete. We're excited to get her into a Bobcats uniform!"

Cheserem is headed to the Bobcats with strong personal bests across a variety of distances. Strong showings in the 5k (17:30), 3k (10:35), and 1500m (4:34) prove a great range of speed and talent both for cross country and on the track.

In response to why she chose BSC as her school of choice, Cheserem stated, "I chose BSC because it has the major that I want to study, and the school is reputable. The scholarship that I have been given for Athletics will do well to support me. What I'm really excited about is being part of the team and running cross country and track & field. I can't wait to help the team achieve more and also grow as a student-athlete!"

The Bryant & Stratton College Cross Country team will begin the season in August 2020 while the Track & Field team begins in October.
