Khersa Morgan Brings More Talent and Experience to the Bobcats T&F Program
Continuing a pattern of bringing in talented and experienced track & field athletes, the Bobcats Women's Track & Field team is excited to announce the recent signing of Khersa "KJ" Morgan (Madison, WI). Morgan joins the Bryant & Stratton team as a transfer from UW-Milwaukee. Before being a Panther, Morgan was a standout student-athlete at La Follette High School on the East Side of Madison. During her time as a Lancer, Morgan was a WIAA D1 State Qualifier and Top-15 state finisher in the discus. Showing incredible event range, Morgan also competed in the shotput, long jump and the 55m and 100m dashes while in high school.
Said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field, Casey Green, "KJ is not only exceptionally talented but she also brings a willingness to work and improve that is not something that can be coached. Her athletic range makes her a great addition to a young and talented team, and her experience having already been part of a NCAA D1 team will make her a strong and respected leader on the team. We're very happy that KJ has decided to become a Bobcat!"
Morgan will primarily compete in the throwing events for the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats during the 2020/2021 season. Along with Ashanti Weeks and Amaryha McGowan, the women's throws program is looking to capitalize on their first year of competition. The team rosters continue to expand across event groups adding to a group of student-athletes anxious to get started with training and competition! Expectations are high for the new track & field program as a whole, on both the Women's and Men's side in their inaugural season of competition.
The Bobcats Track & Field teams will begin practice in October 2020 with NJCAA D1 competition currently set to start in January 2021.
