Bobcats Women’s Cross Country Signs Italy’s Sara Zorzan
The Bryant & Stratton College Women's Cross Country team continues to add to their roster depth and talent with the addition of Sara Zorzan (Milan, Italy) for the 2021 season. Zorzan will be the first international athlete on the women's 2021 team and brings talent and a high-level of training potential to the program. Having spent her Junior year in high school as an exchange student in Oklahoma, Zorzan is already well acquainted with the cross country and track & field system in the United States.
"What was so impressive about Sara is that she has a real thirst for improvement." Said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Casey Green. "She's excited to work hard and get better at a sport that's still very new to her. She's been training diligently since she started running competitively and shows all the signs of rapid improvement. On top of that, she's a stellar student and teammate and will immediately serve as an extremely positive influence with the team as a whole. We can't wait for her to officially begin training as a Bobcat!"
Zorzan will join a young program at BSC that has already managed Regional and National success. In just two years of NJCAA Cross Country, the Bobcats have won a Regional Championship, qualified for the National Championship twice, and finished in 10th place as a team at the 2020 NJCAA D2 Championships.
Speaking to her decision to sign with the Bobcats, Sara Zorzan said, "I chose to attend Bryant & Stratton because I had a wonderful impression of Coach Green, of the school, and I like the campus location. I'm really excited about joining the team, meeting all of them [teammates], and competing all together for the school. I definitely can't wait to live as an American girl!"
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats Cross Country season will begin in August 2021.
