LAREDO, TX (March 13, 2019) - After earning their first victory of the season, the Bryant & Stratton College baseball team (1-4) failed to build off of that momentum coming up short 16-16 at Laredo Community College on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bobcats sit at 1-2 on their spring break trip and have compiled a total of 17 runs including 16 hits in three games.

Bryant & Stratton struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Laredo early on as they took an early 7-0 lead in the bottom of the third while tacking on five more runs in the fifth.
Trailing 12-0 in the top of the sixth, the Bobcats earned their first run of the game after Jose Ortiz (Fr.) crossed the plate on a walk from Pedro Chayeb (Fr.). T
The next at-bat, Peyton Tisi (So.) scored from third on a wild pitch followed by Ryan Kalinowski (So.) crossing home on an error from Laredo's shortstop.
In the bottom of the inning, Laredo brought in one more run.
The Bobcats tacked on three runs in the top of the seventh but that was not enough to overcome the large deficit as Laredo gave Bryant & Stratton their fourth loss of the season.
Chayeb finished the game with one hit, one run and two RBI's followed by Kyle Taran (So.) with one hit and two RBI's.
Starting pitcher Eloy Puentes threw 4.0 innings giving up seven earned runs and striking out two.
Malik Jihad (Fr.) threw 3.0 innings allowing six earned runs and David Paleo (So.) threw 0.2 innings giving up one hit.
Bryant & Stratton totaled five hits in the game.
