WAUWATOSA, WI (March 28, 2019) - The Bryant & Stratton College baseball team traveled to Cicero, IL to take on the Morton College Panthers on Wednesday evening where they earned a 10-9 win in the final inning after Ryan Kalinowski launched a walk-off homerun to steal game one. The Bobcats followed up their game one performance with a 20-6 loss in game two.
Bryant & Stratton now sits at 3-8 overall and 1-1 in region play.
Game one vs Morton College (10-9 Win)
Trailing 9-8 in the bottom of the seventh, Kalinowski stepped up to the plate for the Bobcats with one runner on base and lined one deep to right center to win the game.
David Paleo led the way for the Bobcats offensively with three hits.
Kalinowski finished the game with one hit and two RBI's followed by Alec Spang (Fr.) and Nick Perez (So.) and Malik Hill (So.) with two hits a-piece.
Starting pitcher Eloy Puentes threw 7.2 innings striking out four while giving up four earned runs.
Game two vs Morton College (20-6 Loss)
With the score tied at 6-6 in the top of the sixth, the Panthers poured it on the Bobcats offensively scoring six runs to take a 12-6 lead.
The Panthers shut down the Bobcats in the bottom of the inning and produced eight more runs in the top of the seventh to earn the victory.
Spang led the way for the Bobcats with two hits and four RBI's followed by Kalinowski with two hits and two runs.
Starting pitcher Keanu Walkush (So.) threw 5.1 innings allowing seven earned runs while striking out four.
