CHICAGO, IL (April 16, 2019) - Coming off of a heartbreaking 7-6 deafeat at Madison College, the Bryant & Stratton College baseball team (7-19) could not quite get back in the win column on Tuesday afternoon after falling short 15-3 on the road against the Olive Harvey College Panthers.
Bryant & Stratton defeated Olive-Harvey twice in a double header at home back in early April but the loss drops them to 5-11 in region play with 18 region games remaining.
GAME VS OLIVE HARVEY COLLEGE (15-3 Loss)
A close contest after three-innings led to Olive Harvey leading Bryant & Stratton 4-2 but the the Panthers broke the game open in the fourth inning scoring five runs to take a commanding 9-2 lead.
The Bobcats earned one of those runs back in the top of the fifth after Malik Jihad (Fr.) doubled on a line drive to left field but that was not a big enough spark to lift the Bobcats over the Panthers.
Bryant & Stratton produced just one hit on the game to the Panthers 15 hits.
Parker Walker tossed 3.2 innings giving up five earned runs while striking out three.
UP NEXT:
Bryant & Stratton will have five-days off before their next game as they travel to Cicero, IL on Monday to take on the Morton College Panthers for a double header.
First pitch of game one will be tossed at 2:30pm.
