Anthony Sacchetti commits to UW-Stevens Point
The Bryant & Stratton infielder will be staying in the Badger State to play baseball
MILWAUKEE — Bryant & Stratton College (WI) baseball infielder, Anthony Sacchetti, has committed to UW-Stevens Point. He announced his decision on June 12.
“My biggest reason for choosing UW-Stevens Point is because of their culture,” Sacchetti said. “They’re a good team year after year and they have the gritty culture that I like being a part of. I also really like the coaches there. They’re very personable guys, they know what they’re talking about, and aren’t afraid to hold you accountable. It felt like a true second home to me. I love being outdoors and their campus and surrounding areas are filled with tons of nature and things to do outside.”
The Antioch, Ill., native is coming off his sophomore season, where he posted a .341 batting average, a .975 OPS, and a .447 OBP. He also hit four home runs this season.
Finished up my sophomore year at BSC. It was a blessing to be given the opportunity to play for Coach Tomter and Coach Nate. Below are some of my spring stats and video. @AlexTomter @BSCBaseballWI

While he had an accomplished sophomore season, Sacchetti cherished his two years as a Bobcat.
“I couldn’t be more grateful for my time at Bryant & Stratton College,” Sacchetti said. “Being given the opportunity to play for [Coach] Tomter and [Coach] Nate was something I wish I could do for another two years. They are awesome coaches to play for, and great people. They dedicate their time to us and try to find ways to help us get better and get to where we need to be to succeed. They not only develop great baseball players, but they teach us how to become men. During these past two years, I also created some great memories and amazing friendships that’ll last forever. It truly felt that this team was a brotherhood.”
