MADISON, Wis. — Bryant & Stratton College baseball traveled to Madison for a showdown with the No. 13-ranked Madison WolfPack.
Game 1: Bryant & Stratton 6, Madison College 16
Bryant & Stratton got on the board in the first inning after Ashton Kampa grounded out, scoring one run.
Madison College captured the lead in its half of the first following a double and a Bryant & Stratton error.
The flood gates opened in the next inning when the Wolfpack scored six runs and they took a 9-2 lead. The Bobcats added three more runs in the fourth and Kampa recorded two more RBIs.
However, Madison's offense was too much for the Bobcats in the first game and they suffered 10-run loss in the first game.
Notes:
- Kampa recorded three RBIs
- Deacan Koback recorded two RBIs
Game 2: Bryant & Stratton 8, Madison College 1
Sean Reilly collected three hits in three at bats, as Bryant & Stratton Bobcats defeated Madison College 8-1 on Tuesday, highlighted by a three-run home run in the third inning.
Bryant & Stratton added another run in the top of the fourth following a solo home run by Ryan Weed.
But it was the freshman, Jake Ross, who had a stellar performance in his young career. The right-hander surrendered just two hits and one run over seven innings. Ross struck out two and walked one.
We sucked really bad in game 1 but then Jake Ross made sure we didn't anymore with a complete game 2 hitter.
