Flag Football 2023-24 preview
MILWAUKEE — The flag football program at Bryant & Stratton College is set to begin the 2023-24 season on a high note against Villa Maria College.
The season will start in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Bobcats will be led by Jared Cardarelle, the program’s first-ever head coach. Last season, Under Cardell, the Bobcats went 1-6, but this year, the Bobcats are ready to bounce back.
“We brought in a really good recruiting class and are excited to see how they perform.”
Making significant improvements on the field is a big step for the program, and Bryant & Stratton’s two position players, Soriah Tafua and Alyssa Saavedra, are helping with that.
“With her [Saavedra] high school pedigree. She has the ability to be a strong passer and dynamic runner,” head flag football coach Jared Carddarelle said. “We are [also] excited to have our returning pass catcher and flag puller from last year [in Tafua].”
While exceptional players are set to make an impact, the Bobcats still have a main goal they’d like to accomplish.
“We need to develop quickly as a young team [and] build on our experiences quickly,” Carddarelle said. “[We’re] just looking to grow and build from the prior year.”
The flag football team at Bryant & Stratton is full of youth, excited to start the season and ready to make an impact.
“Overall, excited to get this season going with this team,” Carddarelle said. “Hopefully we give bobcat nation a lot to cheer about.”
