
Bryant & Stratton falls to Kalamazoo Valley in NJCAA DII Tournament
Cougars had Bobcats opening round loss
DANVILLE, Ill. — The Bryant & Stratton College men's basketball team lost to Kalamazoo Valley on Tuesday night in the opening round of the NJCAA DII national tournament.
The Bobcats came out of the gates firing and held a 7-2 lead in the opening minutes.

Kalamazoo Valley found its footing. Bryant & Stratton took a seven-point lead with 10:33 remaining in the first half after a three-point shot by Malcolm Day. The Bobcats extended the lead to nine, but the Cougars stormed back to take a 27-26 lead at around 6:30 in the first half.
It was an aggressive battle in the first half and the Cougars led 36-33 at the closing buzzer.

The second half remained close until Kalamazoo pulled away with 14:35 remaining on the clock. Bryant and Stratton brought the lead back down to three (53-50), but Kalazmoaao's effort was too much. The Bobcats fell 79-64.
Jabi Alberto finished with 16 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Malcolm Day finished with 12 points.
Keith Robinson finished 11 points, six rebounds, and two assists.
Up Next: The Bobcats will face Orange County Community College on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the consolation bracket.
