The crosstown rivalry got off to an explosive start. With the game tied at five, Bryant & Stratton forward, Malcolm Day, went up for a dunk and seemed to be blocked but, a foul was called on MATC's Cyrus Little. MATC head men's basketball coach, Randy Casey, received a technical foul just three minutes into the game.
The Bobcats carried all the momentum at the 10-minute mark, leading by 27-19. The Bobcats carried that momentum into halftime and led the Stormers, 59-36.

It was a different story in the second half. With the Bobcats offense scoring 10 points in the first four minutes, the Stormers remained vigilant in their efforts. The Bobcats' lead grew to as much as 25, but that lead was cut down to 10 with 6:03 remaining when Bryant & Statton head men's basketball coach Charles Ruffing received his second technical foul of the season.
MATC's pressure ensued and the once comfortable lead was down to three with 1:04 left. But free throws by Zaharee Maddox and Dillon Fulwood pushed the lead back up to eight and the Bobcats secured their fourth win at the ninth meeting of Bryant & Stratton and MATC.
Jabi Alberto scored 26 points, his second-highest finish of the season, grabbed eight rebounds and had six assists.
Keith Robinson scored 20 points and had eight rebounds.
Aaron Onesimus scored 14 points and was five-for-five from the field.
Matthew Hoarde led MATC with 23 points.
