WEST ALLIS, Wis. — Bryant & Stratton College softball was back at Rainbow Park for a doubleheader against the Black Hawk Braves. Both games were nail-biters, but the Bobcats were able to come away with wins and remain undefeated in Region 4 play.
Game 1: Bryant & Stratton 4, Black Hawk 3
The Bobcats got on the board in the first inning. A single by Joscelyn Bennett and a ground out by Olivia Fietz gave them a 2-0 advantage. Delilah Abundiz gave Bryant & Stratton a 3-0 lead in the third on a single that brought in Gia Cobert who reached on an error.
Black Hawk would tie the game at three in the sixth inning, but Fietz would help the Bobcats retake the lead with a solo home run. Holly Lowenberg, who started the game for Bryant & Stratton, closed things out and recorded her seventh win of the year.
Lowenberg allowed six hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings. She struck out seven and walked one.

Game 2: Bryant & Stratton 5, Black Hawk 4
Bryant & Stratton built a five-run lead in the opening innings of the second game. Sophia Santiago drove in two runs, and Bennett drove in another in the first inning. The Bobcats extended their lead by two wins in the third, thanks to RBI singles by Fietz and Santiago.
Black Hawk battled back in the last inning, tallying four runs, but freshman pitcher Kylie Stark settled in and helped Bryant & Stratton secure its 15th win of the season.
Stark allowed eight hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, struck out one, and walked two.
